Somehow, Ethan woke up feeling like he was floating in a vacuum.

It was a strange sensation.

His consciousness wandered in this strange place, floating as if it were a cloud without form or mass. Just existing there and nothing else. He could not feel his breathing or his limbs. Nor could he hear any sound, everything around him seemed like an eternal sepulcher. The only noticeable thing about his situation was that he felt strangely light and free.

He could float aimlessly and expand.

It was very strange.

Ethan thought he might be inside a dream, but as time went on, that idea evaporated and new unknowns arose.

If I'm not in a dream, then where am I? What is this place?

... Could it be that I'm dead?

That doubt arose in his mind.
